Log Cabin Day at Muscatatuck
Listing Overview

Saturday, Oct. 13, is Log Cabin Day at Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge. The annual event, sponsored by the refuge Friends group (the Muscatatuck Wildlife Society) will be held at Myers Cabin and runs from 10:00 am to 3 pm. There will be a free ham and bean lunch (until the food runs out), music, a blacksmith, old-time crafts, a storyteller, wildlife exhibits, and a children’s “pioneer chore corral”. At 11 am there will be a program on medicinal plants. The refuge “closed area” next to the Myers Cabin will also be open to visitors during the event. Log Cabin Day marks the beginning of the celebration of National Wildlife Refuge Week…a great time to visit Muscatatuck!
